We are trying t...o work it so that Radio Free Texas will be set up with their online tip jar to accept donations from all over the world.

- The Bugle Boy is an intimate concert hall housed in a World War II army barracks located in La Grange, Texas. Founded by Lane Gosnay in 2004, The Bugle Boy has rapidly become one of the premier listening rooms in the country. Artists receive the undivided attention of the audience, and the audience gets a live music experience to remember. The focus is on original, independent singer/songwriters, who perform blues, rock, country, jazz, swing and everything in between. In addition to wonderful music, the Bugle Boy offers coffee drinks, fine wines and beer, and is ALWAYS a NON-SMOKING establishment.
The Bugle Boy began hosting SUNDAY PERFORMANCE SHOWCASES in January 2008 for performing songwriters. National and statewide acts perform 2 songs each. Three finalists return to play a third song at the end of the afternoon, for a chance to win a cash prize, a spot in the bi-annual BEST OF SHOWCASE CONCERT, and a GRAND PRIZE performance at the annual ANNIVERSARY SHOW in January. Performance showcases are well attended and are hosted by Lane Gosnay. These showcases are a great opportunity for up and coming talent to hone their skills and for listeners to see and meet tomorrow's headliners.

This is a free event that is open to the entire Texas community. Each year, thousands of students, teachers, parents and people from all walks of life attend Living History Day to experience first-hand the heritage, history, music and stories of Texas, as presented by more than 50 performers and living exhibits. Friday evening at 7:30 the THMF will pay tribute to Hispanic Heritage Month by showcasing the music of Joel Guzman and Sarah Fox, recently featured at the 28th Annual Conjunto Festival in San Antonio.

Purpose of the Benefit
Jeremy has and undiagnosed illness and it is probably neurological in nature. This may be the cause of the intestinal tumor he had removed last September (along with part of his small intestine and colon). The tumor has grown back! The surgeon is hesitant to remove the new growth since pathologists all over the country never could identify the 1st one. At the point at which it completely blocks his intestine, he will have to have it removed anyway. They may not know what it is, but they know it's not cancerous. Praise the Lord!
He does have insurance though his wife, Paula's job as a teacher's aide to special needs children. (PTL again!) However, it, of course, only pays the majority of his medical bills and his out of pocket medical expenses continue to mount. He cannot work because of the unbearable pain he suffers daily, but he can only get social security disability with a diagnosis.
You have to know Jeremy to appreciate what a remarkable man he is... for that matter, he was a remarkable child. From the time he was about 12 years old, if he wanted something, he worked until he could buy it. He's never been afraid of hard labor; in fact, he prefers it to any kind of a desk job. He's the best father ever (good thing with 6 kids). He is loving, peaceful, and good-natured... in fact, nobody can tell a funny story like Jeremy. For him not to be able to provide for his family is a tragedy. He has tried to prepare his family for the worst because he can't imagine living much longer in this kind of pain.
He needs an honest to goodness miracle and there are lots and lots of prayers going up in his behalf for just that. In the meantime, he still must pay rent and car payments and food and medical insurance and the multitude of other expenses that go with having a huge family. He loves Texas and Texas musicians. I can't think of a better way to help him out than through music.
